UGC chairman (additional charge) professor Dil Afroza Begum presided over the meeting while the commission member professor Md Sazzad Hossain, secretary Ferdous Zaman, director Mohammad Maksudur Rahman Bhuiyan, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University registrar Air Commodore AKM Enayetul Kabir, aeronautical expert Christopher Stafford, and Architect Ishtiaque Zahir, among others, were present, said a press release on Wednesday.
At the meeting, registrar Enayetul Kabir called for a special recruitment policy to recruit manpower for this specialised university.
Regarding the academic master plan, professor Dil Afroza Begum expressed hope that the university would work for the creation of skilled manpower in the fields of aviators, aircraft engineering, aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, and higher education related to space.
The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University is Bangladesh’s first public university for higher education and research in aviation and aerospace.
