VITTI Sthapati Brindo Ltd. has been awarded the Foreign Countries' Architect of the Year Award at the 35th JK Architect of the Year Awards (JK AYA) 2026 for its work on the Narayanganj City Park & Baburail Canal Restoration project.
The project demonstrates how participatory planning, ecological restoration, and collaborative governance can transform neglected urban environments into vibrant public spaces. Once an encroached and polluted canal, Baburail has been restored through a comprehensive approach that reconnects water, landscape, and community. The intervention has improved environmental quality, strengthened urban resilience, and created an accessible public realm that encourages recreation, social interaction, and long-term stewardship.
