Description
Suborno Prangon is rooted in the cultural fabric of Bangladesh. This housing project for ready-made garment (RMG) workers seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, ensuring a harmonious living experience. It draws inspiration from traditional elements such as 'Angan,' 'Uthan,' and 'Prantor,' where the design resonates with society's cultural context. At the core of Suborno Prangon lies the 'Angan,' a large, open courtyard reminiscent of traditional Bangladeshi homes. This central space serves as a vibrant hub for social gatherings, relaxation, and recreational activities. Further encircling the Angan are the ''Uthon'—functional corridors that seamlessly link the living units to the courtyard. These pathways, akin to the 'Uthon' of traditional homes, create intimate communities within the larger complex. The Uthon becomes more than just a walkway; it is a pathway to unity, allowing residents to interact, share stories, and form bonds. In addition, varied building heights and facades add visual intrigue, reflecting the individuality of each cluster. The design prioritizes the well-being of its residents. Large windows and balconies facing the courtyard flood the living spaces with natural light, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Louvered screens and strategically placed openings facilitate cross-ventilation, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and ensuring a sustainable living environment. Suborno Prangon embraces inclusivity by providing ramps and accessible pathways, ensuring that all residents, including those with special abilities, can navigate the complex effortlessly. The project's dedication to accessibility mirrors its commitment to fostering a home that values everyone.
