Description
The design of our project was driven by a vision to seamlessly integrate functionality with aesthetic appeal while respecting the existing urban landscape. Central to our concept was the decision to elevate the entry block above ground level, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding infrastructure. This innovative approach allowed us to create a striking visual statement—a floating rectangular structure inviting guests to approach from the south, establishing a dynamic interplay between form and function.
From a bird's-eye perspective, the entry block presents itself as a cantilevered plane nestled between residential blocks. However, a closer inspection reveals its true nature—an inverted slanted roof intersected by a bold diagonal ramp, embodying a spirit of architectural courageous . Throughout the design process, our team prioritized the integration of natural elements, seeking to cultivate an environment that fosters meaningful interaction with the surrounding landscape.
Mindful of the park's division into distinct quadrants, we purposefully allocated the southeast grid for children's activities. This deliberate choice provides a dedicated space for young visitors and incorporates amenities for parents and caregivers. Beneath the elevated block, seating areas offer a vantage point for supervision, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for families.
Inspired by the fluidity of movement, the design language of the park takes cues from organic forms, with pathways meandering in gentle curves guided by the placement of existing trees. This harmonious integration of natural and built elements reflects our commitment to site-specific design principles, where every line and contour is informed by the unique context of the location. Responding to the needs of the local community, we incorporated fitness facilities within the entry block, catering to residents seeking physical activity, while also ensuring ample space for leisurely strolls and communal gatherings, catering to visitors of all ages.
For us, having a 30 years long experience in our industry, the most satisfying part is, in a park that we designed, kids are running, playing and enjoying themselves to the fullest.
