Description
Our approach was to use a one-of-a-kind solution as the basis for our design solutions. In the case of this park, it lacked grass and a proper drainage system. In addition, the park's footpath had an uneven surface. At some places in the park, the walkway was over the tree roots, hindering the growth of the plants. Though the park has certain drawbacks, it also has some advantages. For instance, it has big, lush trees surrounding its periphery, and the shapes of the plots and roads around the park vary.
The park's entrance, however, came first in the design process. It is important to note that the site was already appealing because of the nearby roadways. Therefore, we tried to play with the entryway in our design. So that everyone is encouraged to enter the park. Keeping this in mind, our attempt was to create an ambiance that would provide bystanders with a larger perspective from the outside, bringing all the park's corners into visibility and igniting an urge to enter. An effort was made to achieve harmony between the many features of the building block, which include the solid, the void, the ribbon window, the cylindrical column, and the cantilevered roof. One cannot tell the difference between a column and a tree when viewed from a distance. The design motif of fences symbolizes the tree branches. Our design makes sure that a pedestrian feels as though they are walking on a carpet of light and shadow while they walk. A spherical punch (with a transparent shield) is located off-center on the cantilever roof. Such a setup gives the visitors the impression of seeing up through the punch to the open sky. At the same time, the azure sky and green trees provide an aesthetically pleasing backdrop for visitors. There is a Royal Poinciana (কৃষ্ণচূড়া) tree close to the building. While visiting, be sure not to miss the breathtaking কৃষ্ণচূড়া blooming in the early spring. The park's natural beauty is enhanced when the flower blooms, especially when the petals fall over the punch's transparent shield. It appears as though the petals are soaring through space when seen from the ground.
