The Modhubag playground has been designed to be suitable for the people and existing community in the following ways: The existing wet market located at the front of the playground has been relocated to the side of the playground. This, as a result, has created proper connectivity and visibility for the people. The wet market is also equipped with facilities, including the public toilet and the existing clubhouse. For the existing community center located alongside the playground, proper vehicular access to the community center is shifted, thus not hampering playground activity. Existing illegal settlements have been removed from the site resulting in the creation of an access road connecting to Hatirjheel. For efficiency, the land height of the playground has been increased and a proper drainage system has been installed for rainwater distribution. A 9a standard football field is designed with a cricket pitch at the center of the field for the gaming activity of the youth. Jogging and cycling tracks are separately designed for individual activity. Further, a children's play area is designed on one corner of the field for uninterrupted suitability for children of all ages. Alongside the perimeter, for non-disturbance to the outside, fence protections are designed with green hedges. The existing trees at the playground are untouched and new trees are planted for more greenery. This as a whole will create a playground versatile for ample activity hosted by the community and for the people.
